I’m Bethany, not Roz.
Hi. Hello.
The name “Call Roz” comes from my love of the show Frasier. Neurotic is the word. I’m the person that you know who will always straighten crooked art when they walk into any room.
I enter a flow state when I’m learning about, looking at, discovering, and arranging artworks. I believe that art is freedom and that the art we choose to surround ourselves with can lift our spirits, make us laugh, calm our nerves, and bring voice to a room. It excites me, always.
My taste is eclectic. I have an original oil pastel, hanging next to a letterpress print, next to a framed art print, next to an unframed art print, next to a high school art project, next to a personal photograph, next to a watercolor, next to a paint by numbers. There are no rules on my planet. 🛸
I live in southern Maine with my husband, who I love more than all the art in the world. He has patiently gone with me to countless museums, chasing down my bucket list of “must-see” art all over the world. The man is a saint. He’ll probably be hanging your artwork for you at the end of this.
Hello!
My bedroom and Henri Rousseau
The mantle in my old apartment, with one of my favorite Andrew Wyeth paintings, an iPhone photo I took from a bus in Dublin, and a watercolor by my brother-in-law.
My husband and my grannie examining “Miss Chief’s Wet Dream” by Kent Monkman.
What I Offer
Whether you have a sailboat, a bookstore, a guest room, or simply a blank wall staring you in the face, I’m desperate to help you step up your art game.
-
I will curate your whole home or simply that one wall you can’t quite figure out. No project is too small.
-
Often the art in a commercial space is an afterthought. Creating the right vibe in your space has a lot to do with the right art.
I will curate your wall space to fit the vibe you are working with already or add some spice where its looking a little bland. -
Art can help tell the story of a place. It adds an immersive moment, a valuable thing when taking a rest from the world. It is a starting place to let the mind wander.
Arguably, vacation is where we need that the most.
